New Book on Church Scandals Provokes Scandalous Coverage
Several days ago, Nicole Winfield of the Associated Press released a report on a new book by Gianluigi Nuzzi, a journalist charged in the Vatileaks II case of 2015. The new book discusses scandals involving gay sex in the Vatican - including a youth seminary; and crimes in the Vatican Bank, including massive problems with Mother Teresa’s account. CRUX ran the entire article (here).
Religion News Service (RNS), the leading service of its kind, also ran the AP story (here). But RNS censored nearly all of it. National Catholic Reporter (NCR) and most other Catholic media failed to cover the story. Most mainstream media also ignored the story. Once again, you see the Church propaganda machine in operation.
